Élégant, racé tout en restant soyeux, ce XO se décline sur les trois temps aromatiques de la fleur, du fruit et du bois. Après une ample ouverture sur le jasmin, l’iris et le tilleul, il révèle un cœur chocolaté et vanillé avec une pointe de fruits candis. La finale emprunte au boisé d’une boîte de havane avec une touche d’épices très heureuse. Un grand cognac.

Issu de la seule et unique appellation de Grande Champagne, ce VSOP en restitue la typicité avec franchise et simplicité. Nez et bouche traduisent une pureté florale ou s’entremêlent le tilleul et la fleur de vigne que complète la douce présence de la vanille. Vrai, authentique il est probablement l’un des cognacs qui a su le mieux garder l’ADN de son terroir.

D’une typicité hors normes, ce XO ne peut laisser personne indifférent. Bien bâti, corpulent, il doit son caractère très particulier à un extraordinaire fondu où le bois de cèdre, le tabac, la truffe et les épices dansent longuement en bouche. C’est inhabituel, original même, mais en tout cas inspiré. Excellente tenue en cocktails.

Avec son identité de Fine acquise par ses origines de Petite et Grande Champagne, ce VSOP fait preuve d’une ardeur certaine. Amical et spirituel, il développe immédiatement un bouquet d’essence florale tout en finesse. De son vieillissement en fût de chêne, il a su tirer un boisé qui l’équilibre avantageusement. Très bonne longueur.

With its identity of fine, gained by its origins of Petite and Grande Champagne this VSOP shows a lot of enthusiasm. Friendly and witty, it immediately develops,with delicacy, a floral essence bouquet. From its aging in oak barrels, it has preserved a favorable wooded balance . Very good length.
